Contract Electrical Draughtsperson required – immediate start
International designer and manufacturer of specialist engineering machinery requires a Contract Electrical Draughtsperson for a six week contract.
Their product is large industrial-scale machinery that is designed in New Zealand, and built and installed overseas. Along with design, development and manufacturing drawings, installation documentation and instructions are produced from the New Zealand office.
Your role will be to translate complex electrical schematics and diagrams into AutoCAD working drawings that site installation teams can use and understand. Taking Solidworks Electrical drawings, you will convert them into 2D AutoCAD installation drawings and instructions. These will contain all the relevant information for the installation crew, but are simple enough to be easily understood and followed.
To be considered, you will be an Electrical Draughtsperson with a minimum of 4 years' experience. You will have the ability to read and understand complex 3D electrical schematics and diagrams and be able to break them down into simpler 2D drawings. You will be a highly skilled AutoCAD user and able to draw quickly and accurately. A good understanding of electrical engineering is essential as is the ability to work independently and unsupervised.
On offer is a very competitive hourly rate working for a world leader in their field. This is initially a 4-6 week contract, but for the right person ongoing work is a strong possibility.
